The procedure

What is penis filler?

Penis filler is a hyaluronic acid filler injected into the subdermal layer, just beneath the skin of the shaft, to increase the girth of the penis. The procedure is performed under local anesthetic in a single office visit and involves no surgery. The result lasts about two years.

How the procedure works

What type of filler is used?

The procedure uses hyaluronic acid fillers, which are FDA-approved for the face and used off-label in the penis. The brand may differ from one clinic to another. The UroSculpt™ curriculum does not use permanent fillers such as silicone or PMMA.

Who performs the procedure?

The procedure is performed by a physician (MD or DO), nurse practitioner or physician assistant who has completed UroSculpt™ certification.

What certification means

Is the procedure painful?

The treatment area is numbed with a local anesthetic before the procedure begins, and most hyaluronic acid fillers also contain lidocaine, so you remain awake and comfortable. Some tenderness and bruising should be expected for one to two weeks afterward.

Is the procedure completed in one visit?

Typically, yes, although this is determined with your provider. The full volume is usually injected in a single session, and the procedure takes under an hour. Many men return for additional filler at some point because they are pleased with the result. The price of filler added later may vary, but it is typically $590 per ml, regardless of the plan you started with.

Results

How much girth can I expect to gain?

The gain depends on the volume injected: up to 0.5 inch with 5 ml, up to 1 inch with 10 ml and up to 1.5 inches with 15 ml. The same volume adds less girth to a thicker penis, because it is distributed over a larger area. Your provider will advise you on what is realistic in your case.

Typical gain by starting size

Does penis filler increase length?

Penis filler increases girth. The larger plans also add a modest amount of flaccid length, up to 0.5 inch with 10 ml and up to 0.75 inch with 15 ml, but erect length does not change.

Is the result permanent?

No. Hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed by the body, and the result lasts about two years, although this varies from patient to patient. If you wish to reverse the result sooner, your provider can dissolve the filler with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.

Will my partner be able to tell?

Once the swelling has resolved, the filler looks and feels like your own tissue, and most partners cannot detect it.

Will the filler affect sensation or erections?

The filler is placed in the subdermal layer, just beneath the skin of the shaft, rather than in the erectile tissue (corpora cavernosa), and it adds girth in both the flaccid and erect states. Rarely, numbness or altered sensation can occur during healing, but it is temporary.

Can I see before and after photos?

Yes. The gallery presents results from certified providers, and some providers also show their own results on their individual pages.

Safety

Is the procedure safe?

Serious complications are rare. The technique taught in UroSculpt™ training uses only hyaluronic acid because it can be dissolved, whereas a permanent filler cannot. As with any injection, the procedure carries risks, and your provider will review them with you at the consultation.

Who is not a candidate for penis filler?

Penis filler is not appropriate for anyone under 18, anyone with an infection or skin condition in the treatment area, men with significant curvature or a deformity that requires treatment first, or anyone seeking greater erect length or a permanent result.

What symptoms should I watch for after treatment?

Swelling, bruising and tenderness for one to two weeks are normal. Spreading redness, pain that worsens rather than improves, fever, or skin that becomes pale, white, dusky or bluish are not normal: contact your provider immediately, and go to an emergency room if you cannot reach them. If you develop chest pain, shortness of breath, a rapid heartbeat, coughing up blood, dizziness or fainting in the hours or days after treatment, call 911.

Cost

How much does penis filler cost?

Sample prices are $3,990 for 5 ml, $5,990 for 10 ml and $8,900 for 15 ml. The price typically covers the consultation, the procedure and any follow-up visit.

Pricing in full

Is the price the same at every clinic?

No. Each provider sets their own prices. The prices on this site are sample prices, intended to give you a general idea of what to expect; your clinic will confirm its price at the consultation, and prices outside the United States may differ.

Is penis filler covered by insurance?

No. Penis filler is an elective cosmetic procedure. Most clinics offer monthly payment plans through Cherry or CareCredit.

Recovery and aftercare

When can I return to work and resume sexual activity?

Most men do not need to take time off work and are able to resume normal activities within a few days. Sexual activity should be avoided for at least one week, and hot tubs and steam rooms for four weeks.

What aftercare is required?

Aftercare is minimal. Most providers do not use compression sleeves, wraps or molding routines. Swelling typically peaks at about two to three days and has largely resolved by the second week. Your provider will advise you whether a follow-up visit is needed and will give you written instructions specific to your procedure.

Who should I contact with questions before booking?

Contact the clinic you are considering. Each clinic's page lists its phone number, and at the consultation your provider will answer questions about your anatomy, the volume you need and the price.
